Seddon murders: Three held over Sale shootings

Three people have been arrested in County Durham over the fatal shootings of a couple from Greater Manchester, police have said.

Bob Seddon, 68, and his wife Patricia, 65, were found dead at their home in Clough Avenue, Sale, on 6 July.

Two men aged 49 and 33 and a woman, 39, were arrested and bailed until 27 November on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and firearms offences.

The couple's son, Stephen Seddon, from County Durham is charged with murder.

The 46-year-old is to stand trial at Manchester Crown Court on 19 February.

Another three people arrested in the Seaham area on 20 September have had their bail extended until 29 October.

A man aged 26 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

A woman aged 36 and a 55-year-old man were also arrested on suspicion perverting the course of justice.
