Two men, killed in A6 Northamptonshire crash, were brothers

Two men killed in a head-on collision in Northamptonshire were brothers, police have revealed.

Balrik Singh Dhesi, 30, and Jatinder Singh Dhesi, 23, both of Whitworth Way, Irthlingborough, died when their Vauxhall Tigra collided with a Fiat.

The crash happened on the A6 at Burton Latimer on Sunday, 30 December.

Balrik Singh Dhesi was driving the car towards Kettering when it collided with the Fiat Punto, which was travelling in the opposite direction.

The Fiat was being driven by a 27-year-old woman.

Three other deaths

Police said the driver and another female sustained minor injuries.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.

Three other people have died in separate accidents on the county's roads since Boxing Day.

A 61-year-old man died on Friday, 28 December when his car hit a tree at Patishall on the A5.

A woman, 43, was killed on Thursday, 27 December when her car came off the A14 near Kettering, and a 33-year-old male passenger died on Boxing Day when the car he was in crashed into a tree at Church Brampton.
