A motorcyclist killed in a crash with a car in Surrey has been named as 27-year-old father of two Lee Friend.

Mr Friend, from Redhill, was travelling on the A217 in Reigate when his bike was in collision with a BMW, early on 21 February.

Several other vehicles were involved in subsequent collisions after the crash in which he died.

His family said Mr Friend, who worked at Reigate Motor Company, loved bikes and was a "hardworking family man".

"His wife Stephanie and his two children meant the world to him," his family said in a statement.

They said Mr Friend, who grew up in North Cheam, south London and attended Glenthorne High School, had recently been promoted and his family were looking forward to buying their first home.

"He was the most wonderful husband and father to our children," Mrs Friend said.

"I would urge anyone who either witnessed the collision Lee was involved in or who has any other information around what they believe the cause to be to contact Surrey Police."

Mr Friend will be buried at Morden Cemetery, on Friday.
