Four arrested over rape of 14-year-old girl
Four men have been arrested following an investigation into the alleged rape and exploitation of a 14-year-old girl in Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
Three 18-year-olds and a 20-year-old are being held on suspicion of child trafficking, arranging a child sexual offence and conspiracy to commit a sexual offence.
The 18 and 20-year-old are also being held on suspicion of rape.
The men were arrested at addresses in Prestwich, Bury and Nelson, Lancashire.
The arrests by Greater Manchester Police and Lancashire Constabulary follow allegations made by the girl, who is now 15, of offences in Bury and Lancashire.
Det Insp Carol Hobson said police were "at the early stages of our investigation and are working very closely with the victim".
She added that it "appears to be an isolated case and there is no threat to the wider community".
