Escaped prisoner Ian McLean arrested in Poland

Police believe Ian McLean travelled through Brussels and Berlin

A prisoner who escaped from a mental health unit has been found in Poland.

Ian McLean, 44, also known as Ian Mitchell, went missing from Littlemore Hospital in Oxford last week.

Police believe he travelled through Brussels and Berlin before he was held under a European Arrest Warrant in Kolobrzeg on Monday.

Arrangements are being made for Mr McLean to be returned to the UK. Thames Valley Police has not revealed details of Mr McLean's prison sentence.
