A man has been charged with murdering a former British soldier on the Caribbean island of Barbados.
Brian Mulligan, 28, from Ashtead, in Surrey, was stabbed in the chest in a row in Christ Church on Sunday.
It is thought Mr Mulligan had served in the army until 2012, including a tour of duty in Iraq, and had lived on the island for a few months.
Michael Beckles, 44, from Barbados, will appear before magistrates later in the island's capital, Bridgetown.
The BBC's Caribbean Correspondent, Nick Davis, said Mr Mulligan had been living on the island for a couple months.
"He'd come to Barbados to work as a telecoms engineer, a profession he went into after being injured in Iraq," he said.
"The former machine gunner was with friends in Dover, a popular late night drinking area when there was an argument.
"He was rushed to hospital but died after being knifed in the chest."
