Bridlington landlady murder: More time to question suspect

Detectives have been given extra time to question a man over the fatal stabbing of a guesthouse landlady in East Yorkshire.

John Heald, 53, spent the weekend in hospital after being arrested in Rotherham on Friday, over the murder of Bei Carter in Bridlington.

Humberside Police was granted a further 36 hours to question Mr Heald, by a Hull magistrate on Monday.

Mrs Carter, 49, was found dead at Morayland Guest House on 18 July.

Police said she died from a single stab wound to the chest.
