A Norwich City fan is being investigated by police over claims of homophobic abuse, the club said.

The incident is alleged to have happened at half-time during Saturday's match between Norwich City and Birmingham City at Carrow Road.

The claim was made by another Canaries supporter on a Kick It Out hotline set up to report discriminatory behaviour.

A Norwich City spokesman said fans found guilty of such offences would be banned from the stadium.

In August, the Norfolk club investigated claims some fans were racist made "racist chants" during a defeat against Wolves.
