Widnes street shooting: Man charged with attempted murder

A man has been charged with attempted murder over the shooting of a man on a street in Cheshire.

The 25-year-old was shot in the abdomen and leg outside a property on St Michael's View, Widnes on 15 October.

Police said he was recovering at home after surgery.

A 19-year-old Widnes man also faced charges of possession of a shotgun and possession of a firearm with intent at Halton Magistrates Court, where he was remanded in custody.

Two 16-year-old boys who were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the shooting have been bailed until December.
