A man has appeared in court accused of murdering his wife, who was found dead at a house in Milton Keynes.
The body of 31-year-old Naimo Moalin, of Ethiopia, was found in Tolcarne Avenue, Fishermead on 22 May. She had arrived in the UK three days earlier.
Musdafe Jama, 51, of Tolcarne Avenue, appeared at Luton Crown Court.
Defence lawyers asked for further time for a psychiatric assessment to be completed and no plea was entered.
Mr Jama was remanded in custody until his next appearance at the same court on 23 September.
The court heard that he married Ms Moalin in Ethiopia in August 2009 and she arrived in Milton Keynes on 19 May this year.
