Murder charge over man's death in Dunstable

A 23-year-old man has been charged with murder after the death of a father in Bedfordshire.

Police were called after reports of an "altercation" near Priory House in Dunstable High Street on Saturday.

Paul Mondon, 47, of Greenfield Road, Flitton, Bedfordshire, was taken by ambulance to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Marc Allen, of High Street, Luton, has been charged with murder and will appear before magistrates on Monday.

A post-mortem examination established Mr Mondon, a married father of three, died from severe head injuries.
