Help needed to plant 7,000 bulbs in Bedford

A council hoping to plant 7,000 bulbs across Bedford has called on volunteers to lend a helping hand.

Bedford Borough Council said its Pride in Bedford team are aiming to plant 7,000 daffodil and crocus bulbs.

Planting sessions begin on Monday and will happen daily up to and including Saturday.

Mayor of Bedford Dave Hodgson said: "Planting 7,000 bulbs may sound ambitious but I'm sure the enthusiasm of those involved will make it happen.
