Man dies after crash with parked car in Buckinghamshire

An elderly man died on arrival at hospital after his car crashed into a stationary vehicle in a Buckinghamshire village.

Frederick Halifax, 85, from the Isle of Wight, was driving a Toyota Corolla in Chalfont St Giles on Christmas Eve.

It struck a parked Ford Focus in Albion Crescent at about 2125 GMT.

He was pronounced dead upon arrival at Wexham Park Hospital in Slough. Witnesses to the crash are asked to contact Thames Valley Police.
