Arrest in stabbing attacks inquiry in Milton Keynes
Police have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with the stabbing of three women in separate attacks in Milton Keynes.
Two of the victims were walking when they were stabbed in the leg by a man, while a third was cut on her arm when she was attacked while cycling.
Police have stepped up patrols in Bradwell Common, Saxon Gate East and Conniburrow, scene of the attacks.
A man is being held on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
Det Insp Neil Dodds said earlier: "All three attacks were entirely unprovoked and we are treating the incidents extremely seriously.
"Although none of the women have been seriously injured, they have been left distressed and I would appeal to anyone who has seen anyone acting suspiciously to contact us."
The first attack took place as the 47-year-old victim walked on the bridge at Wandsworth Place, Bradwell Common, at 0215 GMT.
At 0845 GMT, a 41 year old was stabbed under a subway on Saxon Gate East. Both women were stabbed in the leg.
A third woman, 58, received cuts to the arm as she cycled in Cleavers Avenue, Conniburrow, at 1345 GMT.
