Man denies murder charge over Milton Keynes attack

A man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a man who died nine years after he was attacked in Milton Keynes.

Jonathan Barton, from Milton Keynes, was 19 when he was assaulted in September 2000 and was left unable to move or speak. He died in July 2009.

Leigh Clift, 31, of Lincolnshire Close, Bletchley, appeared at Luton Crown Court.

He was remanded on bail until his trial which is due to begin at the same court on 4 October.
