Aylesbury shooting: Two men arrested

Two people have been arrested over a "targeted" shooting at a house in Buckinghamshire.

The men, aged 35 and 38, are being questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and attempted murder.

A 33-year-old man was found at the house in Stour Close, Aylesbury, in March with injuries to his head and arms.

He remains in a "serious but stable" condition, his family said.

In a statement issued through police, his family said: "The prognosis for his recovery remains uncertain.

"He has suffered a very significant brain injury and will most likely need long-term care for the rest of his life."

Det Ch Insp Gill Wootton said: "This is very much an active investigation involving a number of officers, and this morning's arrests form part of this ongoing inquiry.

"As I have previously said, we do not believe this was a random attack and believe the victim was specifically targeted at his home.

"Although he was a resident in Aylesbury, he spent a lot of his time in the north-west London area, where he grew up.

"I would appeal to members of both communities to come forward if they have any information which could assist our investigation."
