Darren Leonard murder inquiry: Man arrested at Gatwick

A 22-year-old man from Hertfordshire has been arrested at Gatwick Airport by police investigating a fatal stabbing.

The man, from Welwyn Garden City, was held on suspicion of murder early on Monday and is the second to be held over the death.

Darren Leonard, 24, was stabbed during a disturbance in a flat at Northfield in Welwyn Garden City on 11 July.

Mikel Cela, 22, from Welwyn Garden City, was charged with murder and conspiracy to rob in July.

He is due to appear at St Albans Crown Court in January.

The 22-year-old arrested on Monday was being held in custody at a police station in Hertfordshire, a police spokesman said.
