Heroin warning in Reading after three deaths

Published

The sudden deaths of three men in separate incidents in a Berkshire town could be linked to contaminated heroin, police have warned.

The men died at the Royal Berkshire Hospital over the weekend after suffering cardiac arrests.

They had been brought to the hospital from different locations in Reading.

The deaths are being treated as unexplained but police are investigating whether a contaminated or bad batch of heroin is involved.

One of the men was aged in his 40s and the other was 61. The age of the third man is not known.
