Crime crackdown to use drugs dogs in the Royal Borough

Drugs dogs are to be used as part of a crackdown on crime and anti-social behaviour in the Royal Borough.

Checks on bars and clubs in Maidenhead and Windsor will be carried out by the two dogs and their police handlers.

It comes after a successful operation last month when the dogs picked up traces of drugs on several occasions.

Debie Pearmain, Thames Valley Police licensing officer, said it was important to tackle crime in the run-up to the dark nights.
