Police are appealing for witnesses after a schoolgirl was hit by a car in Berkshire that failed to stop.

The girl was walking in Charters Road, Sunningdale, Windsor, when she was "clipped" by the car, officers said.

The driver did not stop or report the incident to the police. The girl was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police believe students and parents may have witnessed the collision on 30 September and are urging anyone with any information to contact them.

The only description of the car is that it is a small hatchback.
