Slough sex attack case closed after defendant's death


A case against a man accused of carrying out sex attacks on residents at a care home has been closed after the death of the defendant.

Keith Stockwell, 70, had denied rape, five counts of sexual assault and common assault.

The charges related to alleged incidents at a Slough care home for the elderly between July and August 2008.

Mr Stockwell was due to stand trial at Reading Crown Court on Monday, but the case was ended following his death.
