Reading drivers face delays over Caversham Bridge work

Published

Motorists are being warned they face delays as part of a busy Berkshire bridge is closed due to water works.

A new section of pipe will be laid under Reading's Caversham Bridge as part of a project to improve the town's water supply.

Thames Water is carrying out the work as part of a project to reduce bursts and leaks. A spokesman apologised for the inconvenience.

The Reading town centre-bound lane will be closed until 4 November.

Two town-bound lanes off the bridge onto Richfield Avenue will also be affected.
