Resurfacing work on A4 in Berkshire finishes early
Roadworks which caused delays to motorists in Berkshire have been completed two weeks ahead of schedule.
Temporary traffic lights and a reduced speed limit were put in place along part of the A4 in Theale to allow for improvement works.
A new road surface has been laid and should reduce traffic noise for residents, West Berkshire council said.
Other safety improvements have been also been made, including a crossing island for pedestrians.
Councillor David Betts, member for highways, said: "I am delighted that we have been able to complete this work sooner than expected.
"It will be a big improvement for all motorists using the A4 at Theale as well as pedestrians walking between Arlington Business Park and Theale village."
