Policewoman hurt in Caversham van crash

A policewoman was hurt when a force van responding to an emergency call was involved in a crash with two other vehicles in Berkshire.

The Thames Valley Police van was in collision with a Transit van and a Rover car on the A4155 Henley Road, Caversham, at about 1030 GMT.

Four officers were in the vehicle with one of them taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The drivers of the Rover and Transit were also treated for minor injuries.

Sgt Paul Coleman said: "Fortunately no-one was seriously injured in this incident and investigations will continue into how the collision happened.

"I would appeal to anybody who witnessed it, or saw any of the vehicles beforehand, to contact me."
