Woman dies after M40 motorway crash in Oxfordshire


A woman has died after a collision involving two cars and a lorry on the M40 in Oxfordshire.

The crash, which involved an Audi A4 and a Mazda, happened on the southbound carriageway near Cherwell Valley Services north of Bicester at 1050 GMT.

The driver of the Mazda, a woman in her 50s from the West Midlands, died at the scene from her injuries.

The carriageway was closed for five hours between junctions 10 and nine. Police appealed for witnesses.
