Slough man, 24, held over shop robbery

A man has been arrested in connection with a robbery at a Berkshire shop in which two members of staff were assaulted.

The 24-year-old, from Slough, was arrested on suspicion of robbery and remains in police custody.

It follows a raid at Premier News, Farnham Road, on Wednesday when a man went into the shop and stole cash.

One of the workers, both of which were in their 20s, had to undergo surgery for a serious injury to their finger.
