Royal British Legion marks anniversary at Reading match

The Royal British Legion in Berkshire has marked its 90th anniversary year at Reading's Madejski Stadium.

The Berkshire and Vale Of White Horse arm of the charity celebrated at Reading's FA Cup tie with West Bromwich Albion which kicked off at 1500 GMT.

Serving soldiers attended the event, along with the legion's Riders Branch and junior footballers.

The legion, which supports people who have served in the armed forces, also unveiled its anniversary pennant.

The banner was carried by members of Reading Rangers Junior Football Club.

Serving soldiers from 7 Rifles based in Reading and 11 Training Battalion from Arborfield were also in attendance.
