Body found in River Thames in Windsor is identified

A man whose body was found in the River Thames in Berkshire has been identified by police.

Stephen Carter, 60, from Windsor, was found dead by a member of the public off Barry Avenue, Windsor, on 6 January.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said the death was being treated as unexplained, although it was not thought to be suspicious.

Anyone with information has been urged to contact officers.
