Armed burglars break into Berkshire home

Five burglars broke into a house and threatened the occupants with knives, police have said.

The raiders forced their way into the rear of the house in Kidmore Road, Caversham, at about 2115 GMT on Friday.

They stole wallets and an iPhone and left in a BMW car, which was last seen being driven along Uplands Road.

The burglars were wearing balaclavas. None of the victims was hurt. Anyone with information is asked to contact Thames Valley Police.

Police had said three burglars were involved in the robbery, and believed they had escaped in the victims' car.

They are now hunting five men who used a BMW car which was parked nearby to escape.
