An illegal rave attended by more than 1,000 in Berkshire has dispersed peacefully with no arrests.

People living near the site, next to the Sandhurst Bypass, near Crowthorne, began calling police at about 0200 BST on Saturday morning.

Thames Valley Police reassured the public they monitored the site throughout Sunday and the crowds dispersed without any arrests.

The organisers said they were peaceful and cleared away mess.

Some revellers had travelled from South Wales and Bedfordshire.

Police are investigating the incident.
