Slough murder probe after taxi man's death

A murder inquiry has begun after an injured man was dropped off by taxi at a Berkshire police station before being taken to hospital where he died.

The man, in his early 40s, was taken to hospital after initially being driven to the Windsor Road station, Slough, on Tuesday night.

A 43-year-old man who came to the station at about the same time was arrested on suspicion of murder.

A post-mortem examination revealed the victim died of multiple stab wounds.

The BBC understands the men knew each other.

The victim has not yet been formally identified, although his family has been informed.

An area of Stoke Poges Lane was cordoned off by officers.

The arrested man remains in police custody.
