Bracknell man sentenced for sex attack on girl in hotel

A man has been sentenced for sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl in a toilet at a hotel in Berkshire.

Eric Stephenson was given a nine-month prison term suspended for two years for attacking the girl at the Hilton Bracknell Hotel in October 2009.

The 47-year-old, of Manston Drive, Easthampstead, Bracknell, was found guilty at Reading Crown Court in March of sexual assault on a female under 13.

He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register.

Stephenson was arrested and charged in July 2010, nine months after the attack, after police released CCTV pictures of him in the hotel.
