Reading driver held over stun gun threat

A 19-year-old man has been arrested after a road rage attack in which a driver was threatened with a stun gun.

Two men became involved in an altercation after a collision between a Ford Mondeo and Peugeot 106 in Market Place in Reading, early on Tuesday.

A passenger in the Peugeot produced the stun gun but he ran away when the driver called police. No-one was hurt.

A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of a firearm and released on bail.

Pc Lucy Green, from Reading police station, said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area of Forbury Road or Market Place just after midnight last night and would urge anyone with any information to get in touch."
