Church of England vicar held over child sex abuse

A Church of England vicar has been arrested following an allegation of an historic child sex attack in Berkshire.

The Reverend Chris Hanson was arrested on 23 May on suspicion of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

Thames Valley Police, which is carrying out the investigation, said the alleged offence happened in east Berkshire.

Mr Hanson, 63, of Broadgate Road, east London, was arrested by officers from the Met Police and released on bail until 29 June.
