Man slashed on arm in Reading brawl involving 40 people
A man was slashed on the arm during a mass brawl involving up to 40 people in Reading.
The 19-year-old required stitches after being cut with a bladed weapon in the Oxford Road area on Wednesday night.
Police said a large group of males, up to 40, had gathered in the area when the mass fight broke out.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and a 19-year-old man was held on suspicion of affray.
They were both released on bail.
Det Sgt Elton Evans said: "This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated.
"We believe there are many witnesses to the incident... [and] I would appeal to them to come forward."
