Four people robbed in two hours in and around Windsor

A 40-year-old man has been arrested over four robberies which took place in east Berkshire in the space of two hours on Saturday.

Between 06:00 and 08:00 GMT a 71-year-old man, two girls, aged 17 and 15, and a woman were were robbed in Ascot, Datchet, Windsor and Old Windsor.

In all cases a dark car drove up to them, a man got out and demanded they hand over money or mobile phones.

He snatched handbags from the girls and woman but the male victim ran off.

Police said the victims had been threatened and officers believed the same man was behind all four robberies.
