Slough school staff suspended in probe

A head teacher and two other staff have been suspended from a Berkshire school.

Head teacher Kevin Jones, bursar Victor Crewes and head of IT Hannah O'Toole have been suspended from St Joseph's Catholic High School in Slough pending an investigation.

Father Kevin O'Driscoll, chair of governors, said the school had been part of a "national IT scam".

In January BBC Radio 5 live conducted an investigation in which schools were mis-sold leases.

It found that several had been charged up to 10 times too much for laptops and other IT equipment.

Father O'Driscoll said governors were working hard to "ensure pupils' learning is not disrupted by these events".

Slough Borough Council said it was aware of the situation.
