Ambulance stolen at Reading pub call-out

An ambulance has been stolen after the vehicle was called out to a pub in Reading.

It was taken from outside the Royal Albion Pub in Oxford Road on Sunday, police said.

It was driven along Oxford Road before being abandoned at the junction with Waylen Street.

Police asked to speak to anyone drinking in the Albion Pub that evening, as they believe the offender was also there.

The private ambulance, which belongs to company Emergency Response Services, was under contract by South Central Ambulance services.
