Bracknell hit-and-run victim has wallet stolen

A hit-and-run victim was robbed of his wallet as he lay injured in Berkshire, police have said.

The 52-year-old man was hit by a car as he crossed the road near the Running Horse pub on the A329 London Road in Bracknell.

The driver failed to stop and as the man called for help he was approached by a man who stole his wallet.

The 52-year-old was taken to hospital for a sore back and neck after the incident on Thursday night.

The thief is described as white, in his 20s, 5ft 8in tall, thin, with a scruffy beard and a strong London or Cockney accent.

He was wearing a baseball cap and a denim coat.
