Police are hunting a man who grabbed a six-year-old girl and kissed her as she played in a Berkshire street.

The child was playing in Mill Street, Slough, on Monday afternoon when the man approached her and grabbed her face before kissing her.

The child screamed and her parents rushed over to confront the man who then walked away.

Thames Valley Police said officers were treating the incident as a sexual assault.

Police have issued an e-fit of the man who is described as being in his late twenties or early thirties, around 5ft 9ins to 5ft 11ins-tall and of very slim build.

He had spiky dark hair and was clean-shaven. He was wearing a green t-shirt with a logo and dark trousers.

Detective Constable Gary Hooks said: "This was a deeply distressing incident for this very young girl. She was badly shaken by the assault and is now recovering at home.

"If you recognise this man then please contact us. Also I would urge anyone who was near Foundry Court, Mill Street or railway station and may have seen something to get in touch."
