Slough stabbing now treated as attempted murder

The stabbing of a man who was left critically injured in Slough is now being treated as attempted murder.

The 21-year-old victim was found lying on the pavement in Stoke Road in the early hours of Saturday.

He was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and is in a serious but stable condition following surgery, Thames Valley Police said.

The victim was found by members of the public outside the Aromat Kuchni restaurant.

Officers are looking for a man who is described as black, in his early twenties, and who was dressed all in black.

Det Con Leigh Roxburgh said: "We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a person believed to be the offender speaking to the victim in an alleyway close to where he was found."
