Driver dies in Maidenhead early morning crash

A man has died following a car crash in Berkshire.

The vehicle was travelling towards the centre of Maidenhead on Furze Platt Road at about 06:45 BST when it left the road, near the junction with Cranbrook Drive.

The driver, a man in his twenties, was taken to hospital but later died, Thames Valley Police said.

Officers are appealing for anyone who saw the crash, or the Skoda Octavia before the incident, to get in touch.
