Shards of glass injured a man's eyeball when one of the lenses of his glasses was broken by a catapult missile.

The man, in his 40s, has undergone specialist surgery in hospital to save his sight after being attacked in Slough on Sunday evening.

Police have described the incident in the residential area of Holmlea Walk, Datchet, at about 20:20 BST as "nasty".

The attacker is believed to have used the catapult as he drove past the man outside a property in the area.
