Winnersh schoolgirl, 6, seriously injured in crash

A six-year-old girl was flown to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with serious head injuries after being hit by a car.

Thames Valley Police and South Central Ambulance Service attended the scene in Robin Hood Lane, Winnersh at 08:45 GMT.

The girl, who is in a critical but stable condition, was walking near the junction of Bluebell Meadow when a grey Range Rover with a trailer hit her.

Inquiries by police are ongoing. No arrests have been made.

The road was closed shortly after the crash from the junction with the A329 and at Davis Lane and Stanford Lane.
