A lost pony described as the "strangest" thing handed in at a police station has been reunited with its owner.

The horse was spotted roaming near the A33, close to junction 11 of the M4, near Reading, on Wednesday morning.

Staff at Wokingham police station had been taking care of the pony after it was logged as "found property" by officers.

Thames Valley Police said the owner had since come forward to collect the pony.
