A man was shot in the face with a ball bearing at a pub in West Berkshire, police said.

Officers said a group of people drove past The Bladebone in Bladebone Court, Chapel Row, and fired the ball bearing at the pub.

The shot smashed through a window and hit a man in the face.

Thames Valley Police said the victim, a man aged in his 30s, was not seriously injured but was left with a red mark on his face.

Officers are appealing for witnesses following the incident which happened at about 21:00 GMT on Thursday.
