Man charged with murdering man in Weoley Castle

A man has been charged with murdering a 57-year-old who died after being assaulted at his Birmingham home.

James Steven Minter died from injuries he sustained in Abdon Avenue, Weoley Castle, in the early hours of Sunday, police said.

A 34-year-old man was charged with his murder on Monday evening and will appear before Birmingham magistrates later.

Mr Minter's family said he would be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
