People who had to leave their homes due to fears of a potential gas explosion have been allowed to return.
The fire began at about 1330 BST on Tuesday in a garden shed where gas bottles had been stored in Kenelm Road, Small Heath, Birmingham.
A rest centre was opened at Saltley Leisure Centre in Broadway Avenue.
Fire officers have deemed the evacuated area in Kenelm Road as safe and road blocks have been removed, police said on Wednesday evening.
The West Midlands force said it "would like to thank the residents for their patience during this incident".
