Solihull horse rider thrown into building face first

A teenager from the West Midlands flew face first into a portable building when she was thrown from her horse.

She came off the horse in a field in Marston, Staffordshire, at about 1645 BST, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

The 13-year, from Solihull, had been riding over jumps when she hit the building, causing traumatic injuries to her nose, cheek and mouth, medics said.

She was flown to University Hospital of North Staffordshire for treatment.
