West Midlands arts groups are studying the cost of cuts

  • Published

The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra has said the impact of cuts to arts funding will not be known until it hears about its council funding.

The organisation is just one of many Arts Council England beneficiaries across the West Midlands.

Arts Council England (ACE) has outlined a four-year plan to cut spending, with a 7% first-year reduction for regularly funded organisations.

That represents a cut of about £170,000 to the orchestra.
